Al Elé is a Melbourne-based fashion label specialising in timeless women's wear and accessories, all handmade from natural materials. Drawing inspiration from the modern woman, we create a combination of staple and feature collections that are designed to become essential garments in your wardrobe. Whether you prefer a low-key aesthetic or love pairing basics with highlight pieces, we’re passionate about designing high-quality collections that you’ll return to for years to come.
Founded by Alice Kavanagh Federici in 2018, Al Elé is the culmination of years of creative exploration and passion. What began as Alice selling her university collections between semesters at Fitzroy’s Rose Street Artist Market, quickly grew into something much larger. After graduating from RMIT, Alice expanded from local markets to interstate events, all leading to the opening of Al Elé’s Ivanhoe store in 2024. Alice now runs the label alongside her mother, Donna, and a talented team of freelance creatives.
Handmade with love and care across our Ivanhoe and Eaglemont studios, we operate on a made-to-order basis to minimise waste and produce items as consciously as we can.
As a small local business, we don’t just hear our customers - we listen, and we make it happen. We genuinely value feedback from our community, using it to refine our designs and create new pieces based on your input. With a small, close-knit team handling every step of the process, we’re able to experiment with details and make adjustments to ensure each garment is the perfect design.

At Al Elé, we believe that every body is unique, and we’re passionate about designing clothes that flatter all shapes and sizes. That’s why our collections are size-inclusive, available in sizes 8 to 20, with additional alteration services and custom designs options available. We know finding the perfect garment can be challenging, which is why we focus on creating pieces that leave you feeling confident exactly as you are. We believe that clothes should be made to fit you - not the other way around.
All our clothes are crafted from 100% natural fibres, ensuring they stand the test of time. Our natural linen is thicker and softer than standard options, offering both durability and versatility for year-round wear.
