Al Elé’s latest collection is celebrating your favourite carbohydrate

From spaghetti swirls to penne prints, our latest collection is serving pasta-inspired patterns that will satisfy your cravings for unique pieces this summer and beyond.

Though best known for our timeless basics, Al Elé is no stranger to eclectic designs. After exploring posies and constellations in previous ranges, Alice Kavanagh Federici, the founder and designer behind Al Elé, felt another burst of creative inspiration.

“I wanted to do something fun and exciting, and I thought - you know what, let's do everyone's favourite carbohydrate - some fun, funky pasta prints,” says Alice.

And without further adieu, the pasta collection was born. Characterised by fun, scrapbook-esque pasta prints that will refresh your wardrobe, the collection is playful and bold.

But not too bold. The designs are one-of-a-kind, yet versatile enough to seamlessly integrate with any wardrobe.

“If you get the pants in a print, you could pair it with a simple T-shirt, or a matching set,” recommends Alice. “I love a matching set, and I love when I see people buy the matching pasta top and shorts, or skirt. I think it just makes it so cute.”

Another cool thing about the pasta collection? It was created not only with people in mind, but the planet, too.

Through reclaiming surplus fabrics, the collection exemplifies slow fashion and is produced on a strict ‘print as you go’ basis. Rather than utilising pre-ordered fabric that sells out infinitely, the collection is produced with high quality materials that are designed to last.

So when you’re wearing your pasta design, you can feel extra cute knowing that your unique piece didn’t cost the earth.

Plus, as Alice explains, you might find yourself becoming a joy generator when decked in your pasta prints.

“The best part is that when you're wearing something like that, people notice it. They smile at it, they just think it's so fun. I enjoy it, I think other people enjoy it, and I don't think you can really hope for much more”.
